(updated 23 May 2020)
With the Covid-19 pandemic escalating in Singapore and around the world, our industry has been hard hit by the cancellation and postponement of projects and productions in the past and coming months.
SAMPP recognises the financial pressures that our community is going through at the moment, and we’ve collated information on the available resources that media companies and practitioners can tap on:
- Singapore Budget 2020 & Support Measures
- IMDA Initiatives
- SAMPP COVID-19 Relief Fund
- Lifting Singapore’s Circuit Breaker’ (Phase 1: 2 June 2020)
- COVID-19 Workplace Safety Protocols / Guidelines
- COVID-19 ‘Circuit Breaker’: Closure of workplace premises (7 May – 1 June 2020)
- Information on Quarantine Order Allowance Scheme & Leave of Absence/Stay Home Notice Support Programme
We’ve also prepared the following:
All current active SAMPP members who registered before 1 April 2020 will receive a one time cash grant equivalent of their last paid membership amount. ($100 for Ordinary Member, $85 for Associate Member, $30 for Student Member)
Eg. Harris is an active student member. He’ll receive a one time cash grant of $30. Tom, an active associate member will receive $85 and Ruixin, an active ordinary member, will receive $100.

Should you wish to contribute your cash grant to the SAMPP COVID-19 Relief Fund above, you can indicate it in the same form.
New members signing up between now and 31 December 2020 will receive a free one-year subscription. Existing members will have an additional year added to their current memberships. Sign up here.
Eg. Asha renewed her membership on 22 February 2020. Her next renewal date on 22 February 2021 will be extended to 22 February 2022.
If you require any further assistance, whether it be specific information on applying for any of the above resources, or simply an industry peer to talk to, please fill in our enquiry form and we will get back to you as soon as we can. This is open to everyone, members and non-members alike, so do get in touch and we will try to assist as best we can.
We will also be launching a resource portal for media practitioners in several months. Do stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, please stay safe, and we will get through this together.
